Cookie Policy
Version 1.1 · July 2026 · EdEvo
Summary: EdEvo sets no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies. The only cookies are strictly necessary ones that keep you signed in and keep the Service secure — so no cookie consent banner is required.
1. Cookies we use
Authentication and session cookies set by Supabase Auth, our sign-in provider (named sb-…-auth-token, sometimes split across two cookies when large), in a first-party context. Purpose: keeping you signed in securely, session integrity and CSRF protection. Type: strictly necessary; session-length or short-lived, refreshed while you remain signed in. That is the complete list. If we ever introduce optional cookies (for example privacy-friendly analytics), we will update this policy first and, where required, ask for consent before setting them.
2. Local storage (not cookies)
Some features store data in your browser's local storage. It stays on your device, is not used to track you, and can be cleared at any time in your browser settings: • theme — remembering light/dark mode; • revision progress cache — keeping revision progress available on this device and syncing it to your account when signed in; • game/flashcard state and text-to-speech preferences — remembering progress and accessibility choices on this device.
3. Embedded content
Some lessons embed videos using YouTube's privacy-enhanced player (youtube-nocookie.com). In this mode YouTube does not set advertising cookies when the page loads; if you press play, YouTube may set cookies of its own under Google's privacy policy. No other third-party embeds are used.
4. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies will prevent signing in, but the open parts of the Service (Learning, Tools, Games, Glossary) will still work.
